Say Hello to Harmless the Movie. This appears to be a Christian anti-porn message strewn into a found footage horror story in the mold of Paranormal Activity. Oh, the horrors of creativity in the early stages of bubbling pomposity. This could be the king of future bad movie nights, or it could just be a somewhat mildly interesting foray into no-budget cinema à la paupérisme, which regardless of ideological content I fully support. The editing in the trailer has blurps of scary The Ring-esque signal noise, and certain musical moods and scene framing show these guys have covered all the bases with everyone’s favorite horror cliches. Where the narrative takes us with the porn-monster metaphor, nobody knows, but I want to find out and I bet you do too! Stay tuned, or contribute to the filmmakers’ kickstarter project so we get to see the film in its full glittering glory!
At least the trailer didn’t have the “BUUUURRRTT …. BUUUUURRRTT” audible sexual assault on your ears.
